We are so spoilt for choice with Restaurants/ Cafe’s and Wineries/ Cellar Doors and more recently, Gin Distilleries, all within a short drive of our Retreats. On your day of arrival, we suggest even planning to go out for lunch at one of the local Wineries, like The Lane in Hahndorf, for example, then meandering over to your Retreat on arrival, once your “long lunch” is complete.
Even heading up the beautifully scenic Greenhill Road, up from Burnside, will take you through the quaint little town of Uraidla, where the Uraidla Hotel, standing in all its glory due to an incredible and quirky makeover, will greet you with country and eclectic charm, as you walk in the door. uraidlahotel.com.au/
A stop off here, halfway up the hill, will be the perfect refreshing spot for a lunch by the fire, or out in the courtyard, depending on the season. Then another 15 minutes or so, you’ll be arriving at your Adelaide Hills Retreat, ready to settle in!
